Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark

Christmas is almost here and so I wanted to share one of my very favorite, go to treats! My peppermint bark tastes delectably sweet, yet shockingly they contain zero added refined sugar! They also pack a sweet and pepperminty punch and also contain a good source of heart healthy fats! These are great as a crowd pleaser and take only minutes to make! Check them out!

Ingredients:

  • One bag of white chocolate Bake Believe chips (you can find these online or at Walmart)

  • One bag of dark chocolate Bake believe chips

  • 2 tsp of organic peppermint extract (split)

  • 2/3 cups of coconut oil (split)

  • 1/2 cup or about 10 of Dr. Johns peppermint candy (sweetened with Xylitol) https://www.drjohns.com/collections/all-hard-candies/products/peppermint-pop-1

  • One metal square disposable baking pan

Directions:

Crush the peppermint candies in a plastic bag and then place to the side. Then, in one medium microwavable bowl, combine the bag of white chocolate chips along with the peppermint extract and coconut oil. Then, microwave the mixture for sixty seconds and then stir and repeat. Then, pour into the metal pan and quickly place it in the freezer. In the meantime, repeat the same steps using the dark chocolate chips. Then, pour the mixture on top of the white chocolate. Lastly, top the dark chocolate with the crushed peppermint candy and then place it in the freezer till it hardens. Than, transfer the bark to the counter top and cut it into pieces using a knife and ENJOY!
