Pumpkin Pie French Toast



Pumpkin pie French toast? Gimme some of that! I mean who doesn't love a little taste of Fall added to a delicious, comforting and filling breakfast? This recipe offers so many flavors along with loads of protein and an antioxidant boost thanks to that beta-carotene antioxidant boost (that is also responsible for that gorgeous orange pumpkin color)! Hurry up and give this recipe a try before Fall comes to a close! You and your whole family are going to love it!



Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs

  • 2/3 cup of pumpkin puree

  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp of nutmeg

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

  • 8 pieces of gluten free bread

  • 4 tbsp of grassfed butter

  • organic maple syrup

Directions:


In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla extract. Then spray a medium skillet and set it on medium to high heat on the stove. Coat each piece of bread with the mixture and cook thoroughly on both sides. Then, top each piece with 1/2 tbsp. of grass fed butter and a drizzle of maple syrup and ENJOY!
