Salted Caramel Crispy Treats



Combine something salty with a little sweet and everyone knows it's gonna be good to eat! Chewy caramel squares with a sprinkle of coarse sea salt makes for the perfect treat. However, don't take my word for it. Instead, why not try this recipe out for yourself so that then you can see, that these salted caramel crispy treats are all your sweet tooth will ever need! Okay, I am done rhyming now lol. Let's get down to how to make these amazing, decadent squares!



Ingredients:


  • 1 cup of organic puffed rice cereal

  • 1 can of Thai kitchen unsweetened coconut cream

  • 8 tbsp. of Kerry gold butter

  • 1/2 cup of coconut sugar

  • sea salt to garnish


Directions:


Bring to a boil and allow it to simmer for 10-15 minutes and stir periodically until it reaches a syrupy like texture. Let caramel cool in fridge . Then Mix with rice cereal and put in Pyrex loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Allow to harden in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours. Remove from parchment paper, cut into 8 squares and serve. Enjoy!
