Give me all the flavors of fall in one, plant-based snack or treat to energize me when that 2 PM crash often hits! I don't know about you, but I for one, have a sweet tooth and I love a little pick me up in the afternoon, but one that doesn't leave me crashing later! Introducing my spiced roasted pecans that take only fifteen minutes to prepare and that embody all of the delectable tastes and smells of autumn! Share with your family or friends (or keep them all to yourself ;) but either way get to your kitchen and whip these up pronto!
Ingredients:
2 cups of pecans
1/3 cup of organic maple syrup
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 tsp of nutmeg
1/4 tsp of ground cloves
1/2 tsp of salt
Directions:
Spray your baking pan with avocado oil nonstick spray and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then, in a medium saucepan, combine together your maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt and cook at medium to low heat while stirring consistently. Then, combine your spiced syrup with your pecans in a medium sized bowl and then evenly distribute them on your baking sheet and then bake them for 10 minutes and allow them to cool. Enjoy!
