Turkey Bolognese


A one pot, comfort meal with a healthy twist to fill you on a cold evening and bring your family together is my "why" for this recipe! It is so incredibly tasty yet simple and it can be whipped up in less than 20 minutes! Give it a go in the middle of your busy week when a hot pasta dish is calling your name! Enjoy!


  • 2 tbsp of avocado oil

  • 1/2 cup of shredded carrots

  • 1/2 cup of diced white onion

  • 4 minced garlic cloves

  • 1/3 cup fresh organic chopped basil

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 1/4 tsp of pepper

  • 1 tbsp of raw maple syrup

  • 15 oz can of organic tomatoes sauce

  • 1 lb. of organic ground turkey

  • 1 12 oz box if GF penne


Directions:


Sauté together the avocado oil, carrots, onion, garlic, basil and salt and pepper for 5 minutes and then add in the ground Turkey and sauté on medium high heat until thoroughly cooked. Then add in the tomato sauce and maple syrup. Lastly cook noodles according to box directions and drain and then combine the sauce with the pasta and top it with organic shaved Parmesan.
